Click on the Search for an Access Point button.

The Wii console will then search for available wireless networks. When it has finished searching, you will be presented with the screen pictured. Click the OK button to continue.

A list of wireless networks will be displayed. Click on the wireless network (SSID) you wish to connect to.

Networks with an open padlock are unsecured. Networks with a closed padlock are secured and require an encryption key.

A green icon indicates an acceptable wireless signal. Yellow and red icons indicate wireless interference or a weak signal.

If the network is not secure, skip the next step. If the network is secured, you will be prompted to choose the type of wireless security or encryption. Consult your router manufacturer if you are not certain which option to choose.

You will need to provide the security password or key for your wireless router. To provide the key, click on the white box. A keyboard will be displayed. Click on the letters to input the key. Click the OK button when finished.

Click the Confirm button.

Click the OK button to save the settings specified.

You will be prompted to run a connection test. Click the OK button to start the test. Once the test completes successfully, you will be prompted to perform a Wii System Update.

Your Nintendo Wii is now connected to the Internet.

Nintendo recommends you allow your Wii to run the System Update. The process may take several minutes. During this time, do not turn off the Wii or disconnect the power.
