How to use MSCONFIG

MSCONFIG, the Microsoft System Configuration Utility, is a handy tool you can use to manage startup applications.

This application has been bundled with all Microsoft Windows operating systems since Windows 98 except Windows 2000 however Windows 2000 users can download the utility as well. MSConfig allows a user to modify which programs run at startup, edit startup configuration files, and simplifies controls over Windows services. To launch this application click on Run type in 'msconfig' and enter. This command will only run for users who have administrator rights.
